Mossberg 22 Ar15 - Check out the picture above. What do you give him? As you know, this is no ordinary AR rifle. Look at the magazine and the knot. This is no ordinary AR-15. Not normal unless the gun is chambered for "other" .22 - .22 long guns. It's not a focused MSR, but a clever attempt to make the "small" .22 look the same.

Why on earth would anyone want to own a .22 LR version of the .223/5.56 AR? Well, cheap exercise to reduce it to two words. The gun itself (except for the lighter weight) looks and feels almost identical to the AR in terms of controls, sights, and ergonomics. But ... this gun is not an AR, we have to remember that. This rifle is based on the Mossberg 702 Plinkster, which uses this action and is manufactured (as the 702) in Brazil by Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos (CBC). Mossberg imports and sells both products. It's basically a 702 with an AR-style plastic mount.

If you are looking for a more traditional AR rimfire to complement the .223, check out the H&K 416 or the S&W M&P 15-22...these guns are more popular AR designs and have similar controls. As mentioned above, the main difference between the 715T and the .223 AR is how light it is when you carry it. It doesn't contain the 50,000 pounds of pressure that the .223 produces, so it can be made of less steel and therefore lighter. Because the receiver is made of polymer as opposed to aluminum alloy, the gun weighs 5.5 pounds. It hits easily, but more on shooting later. However, it is similar to AR.

Another purpose of this gun is to welcome the young shooter into the world of firearms. The concept of "cool" is off the chart with this Mossberg...see another guy (just learning to shoot) choose a 702 over something that looks like an AR? I have a lot of experience with young shooters and I believe the 715T will be a winner in this competition. Imagine being the guy who wants a "real" gun for Christmas, opens the package and pulls an AR-style rifle out of the box. It will surely make this boy or girl happy.

One action, 3 8.8 pounds (average red 10 as measured by Lyman's digital trigger scale); A little red, a lot of creep, nothing more

First introducing a Colt-style carry handle and "metal" (albeit plastic) sights, in 2012 Mossberg introduced a top-shooting version. With or without a red dot sight, this gun allows you to customize the accessories you want to add. You can mount any type of AR doodad on a 3-6-9-12 Picatinny rail. my hands started to hurt. You can buy rail covers to fill the holes or install vertical arms. If this gun was mine, I would have done it, because I kept it standing in my gun bag, but the gun was borrowed. It's a small thing, and must-have guns with rail equipment, but it's worth noting.

Barska 50mm red dot sight. This $50 scope has 11 brightness levels. The 5-MOA reticle worked well.

Muzzle, again. Note that the marks are slightly reversed - the gun is at least ready for slinging in the front.

Aside from the specific issues of caliber, there are other differences between the Mossberg and the "real" AR. As mentioned above, there are some differences in the characteristics of the rifle and manuals, so if you are looking for a true AR-style rifle, check out the H&K or S&W rifles mentioned above.

Mossberg 22 Ar15

These are the "top 3" differences that I have found in my experiments. There are others, but keep in mind that this rifle is not a true AR rimfire clone. It is the original "proper" translation of the 702 Plinkster. If you keep this in mind, you'll be happy with your gun - don't try to make it something it's not.

New Ar 15 Rifles For 2022

Included here are 25 circular magazines. I had trouble loading about 12 rounds - Mossberg includes a drop-down loader to help, where you can lower the side buttons and release the spring tension on the magazine to make loading easier.

To remove the cartridge from the gun, press the lever on the cartridge properly (located on both sides) and remove the cartridge. It wouldn't collapse under its weight...in fact, it took a long time to remove it. The nut on my truck seems to come off the tire metal much easier than the force required to remove that lug. Just stuck in a well. I never had a gorilla when I needed one…

I finally found a way around it. First, the muzzle of the gun is turned to the left. I then gripped the barrel and part of the tank (in front of the well) with my left hand, which allowed me to twist the mag handle with my left thumb. I clenched my butt to prevent my legs from moving. My right hand shook and I pulled my forehead.

It didn't happen - I had to do this trick to install the builder again. I learned a long time ago not to block a magazine follower. I pull the screw back a little, press the follower with my fingers, and slowly continue to screw the top of the follower. (This is after I got my fingers out of the way). By doing this, the follower of the magnet will not be caught in the forward movement of the bolt, which will increase the tension of the extraction of the magnet.

It started to deteriorate a little after taking the magazine several times. I think that after shooting the gun several times, it will come out with praise and "normal". The magazine was reliable, but after loading and sitting, no damage was done to the .22 rounds I fired. The gun is also reliable. It is embarrassing and difficult to get rid of a large forehead. On the plus side, I think the magazine will get easier as time goes on. This gun is brand new – unfired when I got it, so everything is in perfect condition. At least when I shot it, it was enough for a solid takedown...this is a fun gun. Speaking of shooting…

I shot a variety of ammo in this gun. He devoured everything I wrote in this journal and never made a mistake.

I think the optics prevented me from shooting the gun with perfect accuracy. As stated above, the gun is new and unfired. My friend Glen bought it as a rifle with a red dot combo. He said I didn't shoot, which would explain why the group I shot was less than two feet at 50 yards. The sight then rotated to the center of the paper target as the long adjustment knob was pressed repeatedly. Borrowed guns would be pointless, so I never got around to hitting it, but I found it close to the target.

I have a hard time using some sights on AR rifles - I can't seem to get low enough to see through the scope or scope. This is no exception... note that I don't have a picture of what to post here. It's hard for me to organize everything. It's not shooting a gun or looking at it - it's a challenge for my body and neck. My kids make fun of me for not having a neck, so I'm used to it, but sometimes it's hard to see or see. So I bowed down until I saw his eyes. (I know, I can get an egg comb in my butt and put a sight on the trigger, but that's not my gun).
